Sugar to the Soul.

Of all the names, I've ever heard
Of all the names, I've ever uttered
Your name, my Lord, is a sugar to my soul
It makes me feel complete and whole

Everytime I utter your name
My turbulent mind becomes tame
Heals me off my wounds and pain
How do I express the joy I gain?

Like a chocolate that melts on the tongue
My heart does melt when your name is sung
Like the sweetness that spreads from the sweet
My hearts pumps bliss at every beat

Shiva Himself cherishes it
Mighty Hanuman lives by it
Mystic Kabir was drunk with it
Gandhi Mahathma relished it

Wonderful devotees you've always had
Delight to the good, terror to the bad
On goodness' head you are the crown
Your devotees are gems that you adorn

I too want to be one of them
On your jewels, a tiny gem
I always want to chant your name
Forgetting health, wealth, money and fame

The tastiest of all is your name
The mightiest of all is your name
The beautiest of all is your name
Cherishable of all is your name

The day I found joy in chanting it
I realised what is contentment
There is nothing else that makes me yearn
There is nothing more I want to learn

I always want to chant your name
And live a life that spreads your fame
Take from me anything you want
And make me more eager to chant

I will always chant your name with joy
Like I called my mother as a boy
For your name, my lord, is a sugar to my soul
It makes me feel complete and whole.

Om Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram!

"Call Him Rama, Call Him Jesus
    Call Him what you like
    Justice is what He gives
    To One And All alike."
    Well written Keep it up.

  24. This is lovely & I have no words to express my feeling.

I liked the following a lot:
''I too want to be one of them
On your jewels, a tiny gem
I always want to chant your name
Forgetting health, wealth, money and fame''

I remembered Hanuman once I read this.Because I always pray him to accept me as either his footwear or toe ring.I wanna be like that with him & forget everything.
