Twitter Ramayanam

Twitter Ramayanam is the condensed version of Valmiki Ramayanam. Similar to the seven cantos of the original version, twitter Ramayanam contains seven tweets.

I hope you know that tweet is a message posted in the twitter website and it must not exceed 140 characters including the punctuation marks and spaces.

So.... Here we go

Bala Tweet:
Young Rama was a joy to His parents and an excellent student. He went with Vishwamitra, killed Tataka, broke Shiva's bow and married Sita.

Ayodhya Tweet:
Ram exiled Himself to fulfill a promise by His father to His step mother. Sita and Lakshman went along. Bharath awaited His return and rule.

Aranya Tweet:
A demonic lady messed with Ram and got hurt. To avenge this, she set her elder brother Ravan on Sita. Ravan abducted Sita by cowardly means.

Kishkindha Tweet:
Ram and Lakshman searched for Sita. Ram made a pact with good Sugriva and killed King Vali. King Sugriva sent his army in search for Sita.

Sundara Tweet:
Ram's devotee Hanuman leaped over the sea and found Sita. In a fit of anger he wreaked havoc in Lanka, burned it down and returned to Ram.

Yuddha Tweet:
Ram humbled the ocean god enabling a bridge to Lanka. Ram killed Ravan. Sita proved her chastity by entering a pyre. Ram redeemed His crown.

Uthara Tweet:
Ram's rule was glorious. To sustain its glory, He sacrificed His beloved Sita. Yet He ever lived in her thought until he ascended to heaven.

Jai Shri Ram! May all those who read this Twitter Ramayanam be as much blessed as the ones who read the entire Ramayanam.

  2. Its a laudable effort, and language used is simple & grammatically correct. But it leaves out many gaps as many characters/ objects are not described. I know Tweet's word-limitation. Yet this cud be overcome by using short, typical internet lingo. You may like to redraft/ re-tweet!- SubiNagpal
