The Ultimate Liberator!

For the seekers of knowledge
Can there be a knowledge?
better than
The Knowledge of The Divine, Shri Rama!

The one who liberated
Even the blades of grasses
And all the swarms of ants

Leaving none behind
That ever existed
In the Good City of Ayodhya

And placed them in
An exotic heaven
Created exclusively for them
By the Great Grandshire Brahma!

-Nammazhvaar

Ramayanam is Agriculture
Bhagavatham is Harvest
-Me

The twin-syllable, Rama
When a devotee exalts!
The Birth-Death cycle
It permanently halts

Goodness and Wealth
It everyday brings
Sin and poverty
It cleanses and shrinks

-Kambar

Goodness Honesty Sweetness Simplicity
Gentleness Strength Humility Bravery
Valour Talent Prowess Success
Memory Trustworthiness Heroism Genuinity
Such adorable qualities and so much more
By chanting Rama's name you will score!

My Lord's Story: Goodness Incarnate

Ramayanam in English poetry.

The Supreme Lord of the Universe was once born on this earth as a Human Being, faced challenges and had His share of pain and pleasure going through both good and bad times like any of us. Like any of us He too, took His turn in laughter and cry.

This humility of The Lord, that makes Him come down to earth and share with us our difficulties to show us a way to handle them is what I admire in Him. This quality of Him, makes me surrender to Him unconditionally and makes me want to sing His Glory on and on and on.

My Lord's Story is an out pour of my devotion that seeps out in gratitude for the pains He took to be a lighthouse for us, to cross the ocean of Samsara.

KRISHNA THE BELOVED

Within Your Glorifiers' Hearts
You Stand and Dance
At You, As their King
Your admirers Glance

No other God exists
Besides in You
For, All of Them
Reside in You

People sing Your Glory, Without a Fault
And in their lives, Happens no fault

While you were a kid, saying it was food
You picked some Mud, and it, You chewed!
To open Your mouth, to check,Your mum did ask
Saw the world in Your mouth and Froze in shock!

As an Archer, You met no equivalent pair
Whose Flute, now and then, sweetens the air
When a person, Your Glory, Everyday Sings
All Sorts of Goodness, in His life, it brings!

Like a Servant Charioteer, You went to war
For Mankind in Darkness, You lit The Gita Star!
Where ever You Go
Your Mastery, You Show!

Into Your neighbours' Home, You quietly slipped
Chunks of butter into Your Mouth You slyly flipped
Flooded with complaints from the tortured neighbourhood
With an innocent smile, before Your Mum, You Stood!

Like a Majestic Mountain, When You Stand
And like a Bull, When You walk so Grand
There is not an eye that looks away
Nor is there a woman, who hates Your Way!

With Planets as Ministers, You always Rule
Existing in all the worlds, Filling them Full!

This is a translation of a Tamil Poem, I wrote glorifying Shri Krishna sometime in 2004.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am an ardent fan of Ilayaraja. Many of his tunes, touch unknown realms of my soul and kindle the depths of my mind. One such song is the evergreen melody, "Kalyana Malai Kondadum Pennae", from the movie - "Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal". I felt it would be wonderful to sing the same tune with words that praise, my beloved, Krishna. So, I wrote new lyrics, addressing Krishna as a child and telling him about his mischiefs and glories, that would fit the tune. Though I am just a bathroom singer, I have sung the song myself and created this video. If you dare, to bear my voice, go ahead... Best of Luck..........!

Hope you enjoyed the show!

Excellent Ramesh! The lyrics are beautiful and so are the pictures. You've done a wonderful job of syncing them together very appropriately. Congratulations! Since you love Krishna so much, you may also want to visit the blog, kannansongs (It is not mine but I have a link to it in my blog).
