My Lord's Story: Goodness Incarnate

Ramayanam in English poetry.

The Supreme Lord of the Universe was once born on this earth as a Human Being, faced challenges and had His share of pain and pleasure going through both good and bad times like any of us. Like any of us He too, took His turn in laughter and cry.

This humility of The Lord, that makes Him come down to earth and share with us our difficulties to show us a way to handle them is what I admire in Him. This quality of Him, makes me surrender to Him unconditionally and makes me want to sing His Glory on and on and on.

My Lord's Story is an out pour of my devotion that seeps out in gratitude for the pains He took to be a lighthouse for us, to cross the ocean of Samsara.

Come out of stone age...!

Religion is to help us live in peace. Religion is for man to evolve towards god-head. What is the use of it, if it makes us behave like animals? What kind of bravery will attack nuns who dedicated their lives to peaceful living? We are living in an era where even rulers have to talk, convince people and get their support to rule. We have come long from the stone age. But some leaders don't allow their followers to realize this. They brain wash them and push them into barbaric activities, only for their selfish needs.

Violence in any form has to be strongly condemned. It can only bring more hatred, fear, anger tension and uneasiness into our lives.

I am sure Krishna is not going to approve of this stupidity. Krishna says, " A true devotee of me neither disturbs the world nor does the world disturb him."

I strongly condemn this barbarism.

As a human it pains to see fellow men being brutally treated.

மதம் நாம் மதம் பிடித்த மிருகங்களாக மாற்றுவதற்கு அல்ல "

i know u must be disturbed by the violent outbreak of people there but you have no right of gauging the situation in your personal barometer..

all around the country christians are luring poor hindus to convert to christianity..

dont you remember what they did to osho when he was in USA???

hindus have been hounded and wounded for eons... now the time has come that they have realised that they have suffered enough they are standing up against the exploitation...

plz understand the sitatuion completely before you form your personal views on them..

have a nice day!

Hi Parv. :)I guessed some one may say this. It happens to be you. I know very well Christian missionaries are using poverty and other weaknesses to lure people to their religion. I know how violent Christians have behaved in the past.

I am only condemning violence. That doesn't mean I support all that christians do. We are hitting them here because we are majority.

ISKON has spread worldwide.
ISHA yoga is spreading world wide.

What will you say if they are attacked in those places, where they are minority. Should we not care for them.

I am not telling we should keep allowing them to convert all the hindus. I believe in handling this in a different way. We need to practise our religion properly. We need to educate our people.

How many sermons do they conduct and how many do we conduct?

ISKCON and ISHA are doing really well. But other that are we as intense as christians in spreading our religion?
That's what we need to do. Not this kind of violence. This will only spoil the reputation of HInduism.

Hi Ramesh,
It's quite true that Christians are converting in a very fast phase, there are so many factors that is involved in it, is very complex its better not go in to that issue we will discuss if time permits at a later point of time, coming to the article I first thank you for taking up this mater, yes its very bad to see the act of ignorant people who has harmed the workers of people, don’t forget that mother Teresa is also a nun but no sole can question her because she thought that serving man is to serve God if she would have taken to converting then hole of west Bengal would be a Christian state. This is also ones perspective but the mob took the wrong perspective at the time, the only thing I can say at this point is
"God, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

Hi Ramesh,

Friend an act of Barbarisms at any situation is not good, form a human point of view its wrong to the core at any given time the point. The fact is that the nuns are people who are as follows
“A Nun is a woman who has taken special vows committing her to a religious life.[1] She may be an ascetic who voluntarily chooses to leave mainstream society and live her life in prayer and contemplation in a monastery or convent. The term "nun" is applicable to Roman Catholics, Eastern Christians, Anglicans, Lutherans, Jains, Buddhists, and Taoists, for example. While in common usage the terms nun and sister are often used interchangeably, properly speaking a nun is a female religious who lives a contemplative life of prayer and meditation within a monastery while a sister (in the Christian religions) lives an active vocation of service to the needy, sick, poor, and uneducated.[2]”
As said above in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nun for reference, no where they have written that nuns convert people, who are in needy, the same case it implies to the nuns who are affected in Orrisa, they are people who don’t come out of monastery at any point of time, in that case how come they can convert people. If they have been converting then we could take them it front of law that’s the right thing to do, no religion preaches to involve in violence of any form.
I believe that in the land of Gandhi, who preached non violence to the whole world, this act is very barbaric. It’s a shame on us, our leader in freedom struggle showed non violence to the British rulers but now out leaders in this free India show violence to our own people what a shame, where our freedom has taken our leaders. What to do, the fact is that Gandhi was shot dead in free India and not in the period of British rule, pity for his struggle for freedom.
